should I see a therapist?

Everyone experiences periods of stress, sadness, or anxiety during their lifetime, so it can be difficult to know when to seek help from a mental health professional.

People choose to attend therapy for many different reasons. Some people just want to have the ear of an objective listener to help them manage life. Others may find their usual coping strategies are not working, maybe because of new stresses, unresolved relationship issues, or changes in a chronic illness and they want to learn new strategies. Either way, the reflective conversation that occurs in therapy can be beneficial for everyone.

People also attend therapy when they are seeking positive changes - to become more resilient, to discover their passion and zest for life, and to build strength and confidence.

choosing a therapist

I firmly believe that the best therapist is someone who is the best fit for you. It can be a difficult process to find this good fit with a therapist. I hope to make this easier with my collaborative and empathic therapy approach, addressing what you are specifically looking for from a therapist, and exploring what may have not worked for you from therapy in the past. Through this process I hope that together we can determine what will work best for you.
